Whenever there is a solar eclipse, we can think of it as a time that parts of our own consciousness are hidden or “eclipsed” from our awareness. This is why over most new moons we do not know exactly how we feel; we can’t easily get in touch with our desires. We often feel blank, confused, or indecisive. This is completely normal at this time, and in fact, this lack of clarity is what encourages us to do what is being asked of us: to rest and reflect.
As the sun’s light is being “eclipsed” by the moon, so too are our real feelings. This is not a time to act, it is a time to withdraw. You have the permission to go within and be a hermit. Perhaps the most useful thing you can do now is reflect on your own divinity. Start with the questions: What am I? Who am I? Get your journal our and take your time. As you do, these insights might come to mind:
I am pure consciousness. I am Light. I am Energy. I am always connected and never separate from All That Is.
Just writing these ideas sent a shock wave of energy through my body. This is why it’s so important to reflect. It changes the way our minds think and our body's feel. It takes us down a new dirt path we’ve never encountered before. It’s exciting. It’s revelatory. And we come back feeling at peace, calm, still. Then we are operating from the most beneficial place to make a decision when it is time.
