What Makes Me different From Other Astrologers?

In this article, I want to share my perspective on astrology to help ease any concerns about getting a reading from me. I firmly believe that we are the creators of our own experiences, and that astrology is simply one way God guides us in using our free will wisely.

Below, I will share how my views differ from other astrologers based on my own life experience and spiritual beliefs.  

How I Am Different From Other Astrologers

• I do not allow external events or so-called “crazy energies” to influence me.  I avoid dramatizing information that doesn’t need to be.  My approach is calm, grounded, and centered.  While I believe that planetary movements can influence our collective consciousness, I’m fully aware that it is my own consciousness that shapes my reality. This is why I teach that astrology is a tool for guidance, not something to be feared.

• I don’t let the outside world dictate how I should feel.  Instead, I turn inward, consulting my own intuition and referring to my natal and transit charts for guidance. This is the same advice I give to my clients.  When you understand your own chart, you’re less likely to be swayed by others who claim to know what’s best for you.

• I believe there is great power in thinking for yourself – that’s why I don’t just offer astrology readings; I teach astrology.  I encourage you to study astrology to deepen your self-understanding.  I choose not to get caught up in the negativity of collective thinking.  I don’t watch the news; instead, I focus on the wealth of guidance coming from my intuition - which is positive, uplifting, and expands my consciousness.  Then I share my insights with clients so they can form their own opinions.

• I'm a strong advocate for lifelong learning.  Personally, I’m always reading, taking classes, practicing EFT, working with a spiritual coach, and deepening my skills through mentorship in Evolutionary Astrology.  For my clients, I offer follow-up readings and personalized learning sessions to help reinforce the insights in their charts.  I also teach local classes on how to read a natal chart, host online workshops, create free YouTube videos, write blog posts, and share a free monthly newsletter.

• Integrity is my highest value.  No matter who you are, how you found me, or what you pay, you can trust that I put my full effort into every reading.  I truly believe in karma and approach each client and student as if they were God in disguise.  I ask myself: If I were working for God, how would I show up? – and that’s exactly how I work with you.

My Views on Setting Intentions and Manifesting

Now I want to switch gears and dive into an important concept called manifestation.  I have found that many clients are interested in using astrology to enhance their manifesting powers.  And while I do believe our thoughts and beliefs are powerful catalysts in attracting certain outcomes, I also believe there is power in surrender and acceptance. 

My view has always been that it’s better to simply ask for God’s will / the Universe’s will to be done, versus trying to “play God” and imagine we know what’s best for us.  How I believe astrology comes into assist us here is as a tool for finding our way.  When properly understood, the natal chart holds clues about what God’s will is for us.  While you might differ in your beliefs, I have found throughout my life, time and time again, that when I follow my purpose as outlined in my natal chart, doors open and opportunities arise. 

In fact, synchronicities abound... and I have always found that synchronicities correlate with God saying, “Yes dear, you are on your right path now.”   

So, when it comes to manifesting, I believe we hold the most power when we surrender what we think we want in exchange for what the Universe actually has in store for us.  We can intend to follow the signs we’re given and ask for clarity on what steps to take next, but it is ultimately up to us to trust and pay attention to what is actually being presented to us.

When people come in for readings, they often ask questions about love, money, or career. And it’s never surprising to me when their charts have something completely unrelated to say!  This is because we often think we are supposed to be paying attention to one area, when the truth is, another area needs to be addressed first before we can move forward and attract better outcomes. 

What changes on the inside always transpires eventually on the outside

The trick is having patience and trust to allow things to progress in their own time.  Coming back to astrology, there is no way to actually predict events if you have the free will to change the outcomes.  Some would argue with this, and that’s okay.  But I stand by my initially stated belief that you are the most powerful creator of your own life experiences.  Astrology is simply a tool to point you in the right direction and help you see what you are here to learn next.   

Final Thoughts

Although this may already be obvious, I don’t obsess over daily transits.  My belief is that once you understand your natal chart and know which areas of life need your focus, you can work with that guidance for a while.  There’s no need to constantly read generic horoscopes that don’t reflect your unique personal makeup because your chart already holds the most relevant insight.

I believe we should be inspired by astrology, not addicted to it.  Many astrologers might say a phrase like “Oh no, you’re going through a Pluto transit, this is going to be bad.” And then they plant the seed that “this is going to be bad.”  I don’t do that.  I don’t program your mind to think something that could be wrong, damaging, or misleading.

Instead, I empower you to make the best decisions based on your own astrological influences, and I remind you that your beliefs hold great power.  I see myself as a counselor more than anything.  Most of the time, my advice is simple: Listen to what you already know inside, be more conscious and present in your daily life, and recognize that the challenges being presented are exactly the ones you need to evolve. 

In closing, my greatest intention as an Evolutionary Astrologer is to help you heal, find meaning in life, and feel more love and acceptance for yourself. You are, after all, always exactly where you’re supposed to be.
